RAIN Arthie wrote:Ladies and gentlemen I would like for you to take a moment of your time to remember the tragedy of 9/11. So I ask to please find the time to remember all who have perished on this day. Well I'm from the UK, not the US, so I have to say I consider it a little distasteful that you think everyone globally should just stop to remember. Do you stop on the 5th an 9th of august to remember the hundreds of thousands of innocent people that died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? When the US starts to care about the tragedies happening outside of their borders, especially the ones they caused themselves, I'll stop and think about their losses. Until then, while I agree it's a tragedy, I'll keep my day to myself. EDIT: Oh and to clarify your current "caring" about oil producing countries isn't really the same thing. It is indeed sad that 3000 plus people died, but why are their lives any more important the lives loves lost in hundreds of other places in the world throughout history at the hands of other people? Do you remember the date of Tiananmen Square? Or the 100 days of the Rwandan Genocide? I bet you don't celebrate anyone's birthday either do you? Because then, to be fair, you would have to celebrate everyone's birthday. It must be hard living in your head. I should imagine he celebrates the birthday of people he knows. He probably didn't know anyone killed in 9/11 however, and I think that's his point.
Just sayin'. The Indecisive Noob - A new EVE Fan Blog for news and stuff. |

No, he's picking on the OP for not remembering people who died in other tragedies and only pointing out the one relevant to today. No... Much like me, hes probably pointing out that your tragedy you think everyone should stop still for, while other tragedies you ignore. I should imagine it's also pointing out that a lot more than 3000 people have been killed in other tragedies, but you don't expect everyone to stop and think about them. War Kitten wrote:You two must be the ones that break that "moment of silence" when it is asked for to yell out, "Hey other people died too!"
If you want to remember other tragedies, start a thread on those days. I promise not to **** up your thread if you can be a decent person hold your breath in this one.
Just sayin' Erm no, not quite. I observe a silence when a silence is due. I just don't agree with every 9/11 having to see posts and articles everywhere with Americans demanding we remember them. Not only do you blatantly ignore other far worse tragedies throughout history, you were in fact the cause of several. If you want to go to a US forum and all observe silence, feel free, but don't expect a global community to join in willingly just because you think you're more important than everyone else. RAIN Arthie wrote:Belive me, Americans want to turn their back on the rest of the worlds as bad as everyone wants them to. We are sick of helping you. We are sick of the complaining and direspect. We do not want to go to Syria. We don't care what happens to them. We are sick of bailing everyone out. No other countries really want to stick up for eachother so we end up getting stuck with it. But I still remember my people who died 9/11 and wanted to show them respect. HAHAHAHA! Stop "helping" everyone then. Since your idea of "helping" people is bombing everyone (allies included) then swooping in to deploy democracy anywhere you see oil reserves. Obama sure seems like he wants to go into Syria. Waiting around for any excuse to go diving in and scoop up the profit. Never mind that it's against UN rulings. Never mind that you don't know who launched the chemical attack. Never mind that the Syrian rebels proved in march they had access to chemical weapons. Never mind that the Syrian rebels are made up of the very same terrorist organisations that attacked you on 9/11. There's oil in Syria, so those people need helping! Charge! Caliph Muhammed wrote:Syria doesn't have oil reserves. Well, not like other areas in the Middle East. But they are a long term obstacle to Zionist dominance in the region. But that's another discussion. They were ranked 33rd in the world oil production at over 400k barrels/day. It's about 1/6 of the production of Iraq.
War Kitten wrote:That's funny, I don't recall the OP demanding anything. He asked for a moment of your time to remember those who died on this day.
I guess in your own way, you've given that moment. Thanks.
If you'd care to share your tragedies, I'll be glad to ignore them as blatantly as I can. Like you could ignore global tragedies any less.
Dinsdale Pirannha wrote:I think I will create a similar post next July 22nd to remember another terrorist bombing that killed 91 people from many nations. Then sit back and see how many people clue in on what that was, or why it is important. A bombing in Jerusalem. The Indecisive Noob - A new EVE Fan Blog for news and stuff. |
